You can permanently delete your FishRadar account and all associated data at any time. This page describes the two ways to do it and what gets deleted.
From within the app (preferred)
Open FishRadar on iOS or Android.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
Confirm. The action is irreversible.
By email request
If you cannot access the app (e.g. you uninstalled it), email [email protected] from the email address tied to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by GDPR Art. 17 / KVKK Art. 7 / CCPA §1798.105.
What gets deleted
Profile (email, display name, country code, locale, timezone offset)
All saved spots and favourites
All catch logs (species, weight, length, GPS, photos, notes, timestamps)
Photos uploaded to your private catch archive
Push-notification token
Consent records and analytics opt-in state
Any community pins you submitted (if not yet promoted to public hotspots)
What does NOT get deleted by us
Active subscriptions — managed by Apple / Google, not us. Cancel separately via Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS or Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
Subscription receipt history — our subscription-management provider deletes their receipt-validation record after we forward the deletion request (typically within 30 days).
Crash logs — anonymized at collection time; no personal data is associated with crash traces.
Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics — these never contain identifiers.
Backups
Encrypted backups retain account data for up to 35 days after deletion as a disaster-recovery safeguard. After that window the data is permanently irrecoverable. Backups are not used for analytics or product development.
