Perch appears in the Anlage under the heading "Fische ohne Schonbestimmungen" with dashes in both columns, for all four basin districts — so this is a positive statement by the ordinance, not a gap in FishRadar. Two consequences follow from § 11 Abs. 8 AVBayFiG: a perch you catch may be released again only where doing so serves the Hegeziel, and a fish of a species NOT named anywhere in the Anlage may not be released at all. Your Fischereierlaubnisschein can still impose a size or a limit and it binds.

THE CHIEMSEE FISH. 30 cm and closed 15 October to 31 December, in all four basin districts. The row covers Coregonus spp. as a genus, so it catches every local Renke and Felchen form. Two Bavarian coregonids are separately protected ALL YEAR and are not covered by this row: the Ammersee-Kilch (Coregonus bavaricus, Nr. 2.2, basin D) and the Bodensee-Kilch (Coregonus gutturosus, Nr. 2.7, basin R). On the big Bavarian lakes the Fischereierlaubnisschein normally imposes a daily limit and often a longer closure.

Licensing:

freshwater-recreational — residents Fischereischein, issued by the Gemeinde after passing the Fischerprüfung (Art. 48 BayFiG). A Fischereischein from another Bundesland is valid in Bavaria provided the holder's main residence was not in Bavaria when it was issued and it was not granted without an examination (§ 2 Abs. 1 AVBayFiG). On top of the Fischereischein you always need a Fischereierlaubnisschein for the specific water — fishing without one is not a fine, it is the criminal offence of Fischwilderei., non-residents Adults who are only temporarily in Germany and do not establish residence here can be issued a Fischereischein WITHOUT sitting the Fischerprüfung — § 3 Satz 1 Nr. 1 AVBayFiG covers "volljährige Personen, die sich nur vorübergehend in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland aufhalten, ohne hier einen Wohnsitz zu begründen". A Fischereierlaubnisschein for the water is still required in addition, from the owner or lessee of the fishing right, online or from regional issuing points.

Bavaria sets closed seasons and minimum sizes in one statewide table, the Anlage to the AVBayFiG, and sets NO daily bag limit. Since 2023 each row applies only in named river-basin districts — Danube, Elbe, Rhine, Weser — and the scopes differ between species: eel is regulated only in the Elbe, Rhine and Weser basins, huchen only in the Danube. Every figure can be overridden, in either direction, on your Fischereierlaubnisschein for the specific water or by a Bezirk under § 11 Abs. 5 AVBayFiG, and those are the binding rules.
